  • You will see your design when you come in for your appointment. In most situations we can make any necessary changes the day of. Please be as specific as possible and provide the most up to date reference pictures when filling out your form. If you have additional references you can attach them to an email and send them to amberstrangeinquiries@gmail.com. Hopefully by this point you’ve chosen me as an artist because you’ve researched and followed my work, but if you’re not 100% about the design for whatever reason we may need to reschedule your appointment accordingly and your deposit will still be applied. If we cannot agree artistically on the concept/direction I may partially refund your deposit, minus a design fee based on how much work has been done.

  • If you have any changes or updates to the design and/or placement of your tattoo, please submit those as soon as possible, at least two weeks before your appointment. You can email with those changes amberstrangeinquiries@gmail.com. If you are scheduled for a pre-drawn piece, no changes are permitted. If the changes are significant, you may need to fill out the form again but please email first. I usually will not do any additional tattoos at your appointment that weren’t originally indicated on your form, even if we have additional time left over. Any changes to the design/placement may effect the time and cost. If your design changes significantly you may be subject to rescheduling.

  • Deposits are $250 for a full day session or $500 for multi-day appointments and comes off the total cost of your tattoo. Deposits can be applied to a rescheduled appointment if at least 14 days notice is given. To retain deposit, the new date must be rescheduled within 6 months of the original appointment. If you can’t reschedule a new date within 6 months, a new deposit will be required for any future appointments. All deposits and fees are required when scheduling your tattoo appointment and are non-refundable in any situation. They are deducted from your total tattoo cost. If your tattoo takes multiple sessions, all deposits will be taken from the last scheduled appointment. If you cancel outright with no intention of rescheduling, even with notice, you will not be refunded. If you make changes to your design less than 14 days in advance that may require your appointment to be rescheduled, you will lose your existing deposit and have to pay a new one when rescheduling. It is very important to let me know at least 14 days in advance to any changes in design, colour, size, and placement for your tattoo.

  • Make sure you’re well rested, hydrated, and eat a full meal at least an hour or two before your appointment. DO NOT take ibuprofen or consume alcohol before your appointment, as it causes additional bleeding. Tylenol is ok but it doesn’t actually help with the pain of the tattoo. I recommend for longer tattoos that you bring a light snack, a water bottle/drink with a secure lid, and AirPods/earbuds to listen to. I don’t like to talk while I’m working because I need to focus and clients talking can cause excess body movements so make sure you have ways to distract yourself and pass the time. Make sure your phone/devices are fully charged, I cannot provide a charger or outlet.

  • My introductory rate is $2000/day and typically range between 6-8hrs. I do not do partial days, so even if your tattoo takes less time, it will still be the full day rate.

  • Reschedule and cancellation requests must be sent at least two weeks before your appointment. If you request to cancel or reschedule at least two weeks before your appointment, your deposit can be applied to a future appointment if it’s within 6 months of the original date. If you reschedule or cancel less than two weeks before your appointment for any reason, you will need to pay another deposit and your previous deposit will be lost. Reschedule dates are based on my availability and I cannot guarantee a date in a certain time frame. If you are more than 30min late to your appointment without giving me notice, your appointment will be subject to rescheduling or cancellation and your deposit will be void. If you reschedule, your new appointment will be subject to any rate/hourly minimum changes.

  • I strongly recommend coming alone, but I will allow guests on a case by case basis with notice.

  • Due to pain tolerance, skin reaction, and how many breaks you have to take, sometimes a tattoo may take longer than expected and we may not be able to finish everything we set out to do in one appointment. In these situations, I will try to work you into my schedule as soon as possible based on my availability and cancellation openings.

  • My cancellation list at this point is only for clients that have already paid a deposit and have requested to reschedule within the appropriate time frame. Any available openings I have will be posted on my Instagram and are first come first served.

  • I do not advise using any type of numbing before your appointment. Please let me know beforehand if you plan to use anything and let me know the brand and if you have used it before. I cannot be responsible for any negative effects numbing cream may have on your healing and skin quality during the tattoo. Numbing agents can cause excess redness, bleeding, irritation, slow healing, and scarring. If you use numbing cream and I determine during the tattoo process that your skin is not reacting well and I am not comfortable finishing the session, you are still financially responsible for the full day rate that day as well as any additional appointments required to finish the work.

  • I am not currently accepting coverup requests.
